三保の松原に行ってきました〜♪
絶景
さすが世界遺産

Once upon a time, there was a fisherman from Miho named Hakury?. One day, Hakury? was fishing near the matsu pines. He was long accustomed to the scenery of the beach, but on that morning, the sight of Fujisan rising above the waters of the bay was especially beautiful. From out of nowhere, an exquisite scent filled the air.
The perfume drew Hakury? towards the trees, and on the branch of one of the matsu, gently fluttering in the breeze, hung a robe unlike any he had ever seen.
“How lovely,” the fisherman thought. “I shall take it home and treasure it always.”
As he gathered up the robe and turned to go, he heard a voice. “That robe belongs to me.”
Hakury? stared as a beautiful woman stepped out from the shadow of the tree.
“I am a maiden from Heaven. My robe of feathers is of no use to you. Please give it back, as I cannot return to Heaven without it.”
Hakury? was shocked to think he held in his hands one of the Divine Feather Robes, but once he saw the look of suffering on the maiden, he decided to give it back.
“I will give it back to you, but first, dance for me the Dance of Heaven.”
The maiden felt great relief and agreed to the fisherman’s term, but said, “I cannot dance without my robe. Return it to me first.”
Hakury? became angry. “If I give the Robe of Feathers first, you will just go back to Heaven!”
The maiden looked at the man sharply and said, “Lies and deceit are human creations. They do not exist in the World Above.”
Hakury? felt shame at these words, and held out the robe with trembling hands.
The heavenly maiden wrapped herself in her feathered robe, and the sleeves began to flutter, flutter, as she started the elegant dance. Again the scent of perfume rose, and with it came the sound of whistles and drums.
Hakury? stared in dumfounded joy as the maiden spun and spun, rising into the air, higher and higher, until she finally disappeared into the mists shrouding the heights of Fujisan.
三保に白龍（はくりょう）という名の漁師がいました。
今朝も三保の松原で釣をしておりました。
見慣れた浜の景色ですが海原に浮かぶ春の富士はとりわけ美しく見えました。
と、どこからともなく、えもいわれぬ良い香りがしてきました。
香りに惹かれて行ってみると一本の松に見たこともない
美しい衣が掛かって風に揺れていました。
「何てきれいなんだろう。持ち帰って家の宝にしよう。」
そういって衣を抱え家に持ち帰ろうとしたその時です。
「もし、それは私の着物です。」
木の陰に美しい女の人が立っていたのです。
「私は天女です。その衣は羽衣といってあなたがたにはご用のないものです。
どうぞ返して下さい。それがないと天に帰れません。」
白龍はこれがかの天の羽衣かととても驚きましたが、
天女の悲嘆にくれた姿を見て羽衣を返す気持ちになりました。
「返すかわりに天人の舞を舞って下さい。」
天女は喜んで承知しましたが
「羽衣がないと舞が舞えません。まず羽衣を返して下さい。」と言うのです。
白龍はふと思いました。羽衣を返せば舞を舞わずに帰ってしまうのではないか。
すると天女はきっぱりと答えました。
「疑いや偽りは人間の世界のことで天上の世界にはございません。」この言葉に白龍は自分がすっかり恥ずかしくなりました。
羽衣を身にまとうと、天女は優雅に袂を翻し、舞いを舞いはじめました。
どこからともなく笛や鼓の音が聞こえよい香りが立ちこめます。
白龍があっけにとられて見とれているうちに天女はふわりふわりと天へと上り
だんだん高くなったかと思うとみるみる内に愛鷹山から
富士の高嶺に、霞にまぎれて消えていきました。
